| Painting over Faux Fabrix paint |
|
You can paint over the Faux Fabrix paint if you need to achieve a certain colored finish. The paint you are covering the Faux Fabrix with must be enamel or water based. DO NOT use any lacquer-based paints, because lacquer is too hot and could melt the Faux Fabrix texture underneath. One other note, make sure the Faux Fabrix Textured Spray Paint is completely dried and cured, not just dry to the touch. This means allowing the Faux Fabrix to dry for at least 4 to 5 days prior to coating with a different paint color. A simple food dehydrator can shorten the Faux Fabrix curing time to 2 days. |
Now for the first time you can create a realistic, soft, fabric-like finish for upholstered seats, tonneau covers, convertible tops, trunk, chassis, engine bay insulation and more! A perfect compliment to Scale Motorsport’s Upholstery Pattern Decals.
No more hassle with white glue and messy flocking. Faux Fabrix is a one-step process. All you need is a clean dry surface and two or three mist coats, no undercoat is needed, recoat in seconds!
Faux Fabrix lays down a beautiful, in-scale textured surface for all those areas that require a real fabric appearance or three dimensional texture such as: chassis undercoat, engine black texture, race car seat shells etc.
